Any LGBTQ space that doesn’t allow LGBTQ aces to discuss the specific discrimination they’ve faced for being asexual is not a safe space

and, to me, that’s the biggest problem in LGBT spaces; I don’t mind not having ace-exclusive things, but I mind not feeling safe exposing my aro or ace identity because people tell me it doesn’t matter even though they’ve shaped my life more than my few instances of attraction did.

Exactly! I need to be able to talk about all aspects of who I am, and I should be able to talk about my sexuality in LGBT spaces. For me, being ace and being queer are so intertwined that I couldn’t separate them if I wanted to.

Plus, it’s not like I can talk to straight people about what’s happened to me for being ace, especially since it was generally straight people who caused it.

Dead ass tho. We sometimes forget, collectively as a group of people observing this franchise, that there are nasty dance clubs all over the Star Wars universe. The Galaxy. An entire system of worlds. There are places that play shitty dance remixes for 12 hours and where cross fraction hook ups probably happen every night.

Do not forget this. Beyond Tatooine, beyond stuffy meeting halls, the palaces of royalty, a storm trooper probably just had his 3rd drink and he’s bout to get the best dick of his life from something with 4 arms. He’s living the dream. Do not forget him.

I’m only slightly crying.

I’m completely crying.

my 16 yearr old son is watching over my shoulder and we’re both crying

I use this in my cheder classes at synagogue when we’re learning about Gemilut Chasidim, acts of loving kindness. It’s really important to start the message off with the point that no religion corners the market on that concept. This is an amazing and life affirming commercial of all things. Brilliant.

most lgbt kids are raised in homophobic environments – actually, the society we live in is still inherently homophobic! – and yet we’re supposed to accept “less” homophobic cishet people just because they were also raised under similar circumstances.

homophobia doesn’t affect cishets. it affects lgbt people. if you really want to stop being a homophobe and start being an ally, actually listen to us when we say that creating content where we’re always hurt, always sad, always dead is homophobic, because it thrives off of and contributes to the homophobic idea that lgbt people don’t deserve happiness.

#Sam Wilson: Sassy Bitch Graduate 2k14

I always kinda fixate on how Sam’s gaze lingers condescendingly on Steve after he delivers this line, and it’s produced this headcanon where after the VA scene, Sam and Steve go out on a date and hit it off really well and go back to Sam’s place and bang, but Steve wakes up while Sam is still making breakfast and is like “I’m sorry to do this, but I have to go” and is apologetic and cringe-y and Sam kinda watches him dubiously with his spatula in hand but is like “alright, man, see you around.” Whether Steve left because he got cold feet or a mission kinda varies in my head. But it makes Sam’s “if u EAT breakfast u fuckin shit” face in this scene (and the startled but slightly reserved way he initially answers the door) funnier to me.

Like I have not been able to stop thinking about this????

It… also kinda explains Steve’s little “okay I deserved that” head bob?
