wodneswynn:

So the other day me and the lads were talking about the similarities and differences between Norse mythology and the Marvel Thor canon and I was talking about how in the myths Loki is Thor’s uncle, not his brother, because instead of acquiring baby Loki through dubious means, what had happen was that Odin and Loki met up as adults and each impressed the other so much that they swore oaths of blood-brotherhood.

“So what does it mean to become blood brothers?”

“You and your best bud are such super best buds that you do a ceremony to mix your luck and destiny so that you’re related. It’s like a Bro Wedding.”

“So it’s gay?”

“No. Well…it doesn’t *have to* be, but it certainly can be. Especially with those two.”
