What is Huxloween?
Huxloween will be a prompt meme and calendar for October and Halloween, featuring our favorite evil space boyfriends enjoying all the trappings of autumn and/or horror. This is a free for all event! There will be no sign ups, just upload (or submit directly to this tumblr) your work on the specific prompt day.
We will have two tiers of content for Huxloween in order to make it an enjoyable event for everyone. The first tier is “spooky”, while the second tier is “scary”. Spooky tier is for prompts that are less scary, cute, fluffy or just fun. Scary tier is for the more terrifying or horror centered prompts. Each day will have either two prompts, spooky and scary, or a single prompt if the prompt can be interpreted either way depending on the artist. Feel free to do both scary or spooky prompts, or only one, as you please!
How can I participate?
We are currently working on the prompt calendar and hope to have it go live around mid to late August, to give you all enough time to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. Check back for more on that later!
When the prompt calendar is up, you are welcome to do whatever prompts strike your fancy. You can skip what you don’t like, and do what you do. We will accept all forms of content: art, fics, playlists, cosplay, gif sets, edits, or whatever you enjoy creating. When you have something to submit, feel free to either submit directly to us on the blog, OR upload it to your own tumblr – all we ask is that you mention us (@huxloween) and tag it with “Huxloween” so that we can reblog it here.
We will be extensively tagging things both for the ease of blog navigation, and because undoubtedly, there will be some works that could be potentially triggering or upsetting to people. We will be working on an extensive tag system, and will work to tag every possible thing we can think of in order to help people feel comfortable and safe. If we ever forgot something in our tags when reblogging and it needs to be added, shoot us a message and one of the mods will add it asap! We want everyone to have fun and enjoy this event, no matter what your spook level is!
