I have been getting acrylics for a while now, from a great manicurist, and I have never once been in pain. She never mangles my cuticles, and always opens a new file. At every step of the process, she asks me if I’m happy. At first, I was like “I have no idea what I’m looking at so sure?”, and she made it clear that if I wasn’t happy with the end product, she could redo it.
Now that I’m more experienced, I know what I like and how things work. I’ve never been dissatisfied with my experience because she encouraged my questions and input.
